Per Hatlem

Chief Executive Officer (CEO)

Experience
Hatlem was appointed CEO of Apply ASA in September 2011. He is also Partner in HitecVision, who owns 41 per cent of the company, where he has been since 2007. Hatlem has 25 years experience from the oil and gas sector which includes 14 years within the offshore industry, working 10 years for Norske Shell and Statoil on R&D project management and commercialization and four years as CEO of the listed oil services company Norwegian Applied Technology ASA. Hatlem has also been the CEO of Comrod AS, a leading manufacturer of highly specialized antennas, masts and power supply mainly directed at the defense and marine markets worldwide, and the CEO of the international food producer and supplier Danica Foods Group AS.

Pål Selboe Valseth

Chief Financial Officer (CFO)

Experience
Before joining Apply ASA as CFO in 2009, Valseth held the position as CFO for Simtronics ASA. From 2001 he was Head of Finance and M&A in Telenor ASA after joining the company as Head of Group Accounts in 2005. Valseth started his career as Auditor for KPMG AS in 1990.

Education
MBA Audit & Accounting and MBA Finance, both degrees from the Norwegian School of Economics and Business Administration (NHH). Valseth also holds a MSc. in Business and Economics from BI Norwegian School of Management

Frederik Hvistendahl

Executive Vice President (EVP) BA MMO & EPCI

Experience
Hvistendahl is Managing Director of Apply Sørco, the centre of excellence within the business area MMO & EPCI. He came to Apply from the position as Managing Director in Quickflange AS in 2007. Prior to that Hvistendahl was the CEO of the risk management company Scandpower AS. From 1999 to 2001 he held the position as Managing Director of Hitec Drilling & Marine Systems, a company he joined after fifteen years in Schlumberger Ltd. He held various positions in Norway, UK, Belgium and the U.S. for Schlumberger, including Chief Marketing Officer.

Lars Solberg

Executive Vice President (EVP) BA Living Quarters & Assembly

Experience
Solberg is Managing Director of Apply Leirvik, the centre of excellence within the business area Living Quarters & Assembly. He previously held the position as Managing Director of Aker Kvaerner Contracting AS from 2003 until he joined Apply ASA as EVP in 2010. Prior to this he held various positions within Aker Stord AS from 1980. He left Aker Stord twice during that period, first from 1988 to 1989 as Acting Offshore Manager for Norsk Hydro AS and second, from 1992 to 1993, as Manager of Mechanical Construction in Norwegian Contractors AS.

Peter Nygaard Andersen

Executive Vice President (EVP) BA Systems & Products

Experience
Nygaard Andersen is the Managing Director of Apply Oil & Gas, the centre of excellence within the business area Systems & Products. From 2007 to 2011, he held the position as Vice President of Business Management in Aker Elektro, where he was responsible for the EI&T disciplines within niche and field development projects.
Prior to this he held various management positions in Kværner Oil & Gas and Sønnico Installasjon.

Education
Nygaard Andersen is educated Electrician, as well as Electrical Contractor and High Power Technician.

Frode Wathne

Executive Vice President (EVP) BA Solutions & Services

Experience
Taking over as Executive Vice President (EVP) for BA Solutions & Services in January 2012, Wathne has previously held the position of CFO in Apply AS since 2010. Before joining Apply he worked 9 years in Bjørge ASA, the last three years as CFO. Prior to his career in Bjørge, Wathne has held different positions in Kværner Oil&Gas over a period of 8 years.

Education
Wathne holds a MSc. in Business and Economics from University of Agder (Agder Distriktshøyskole).

Håkon Strømberg

Managing Director (MD) Apply NEMO

Experience

Strømberg has been Managing Director of Apply Nemo, previously Nemo Engineering, since 1999. The Apply Nemo group of companies is Apply Subsea’s centre of excellence. Under his management, Apply Nemo has developed from a small company with 15 employees to a group of companies working internationally as a system supplier.

Strømberg joined Nemo from the position as Vice President, Tie-in and Pipeline Products Division in Kværner Oilfield Products where he had worked in various positions since 1992.

Education
Cand.Scient.Mathematics and Mechanics from Matematisk Naturvitenskapelig Fakultet, University of Oslo. Diploma: Nonlinear FEM-analysis.
Business and Economics from BI Norwegian School of Management.
Mechanical Engineer, Oslo Ingeniørhøyskole.

Bjørn Røvær

Vice President (EVP) Human Resources and Health, Safety & Environment

Experience
Røvær joined Apply ASA as Director of Human Resources and Health, Safety & Environment in 2010. He previously held several positions within the Hydro Group where he started his career in 1981 and worked for 28 years. Amongst other positions Røvær was Assistant Director of Compensation & Benefits in both Hydro ASA and Hydro Aluminium.

Odd H. Knudsen

Vice President Business Development

Knudsen joined Apply in November 2011 as VP of Business Development. Knudsen
has 25 years experience from the oil & gas industry, from various roles within both oil companies and the contracting industry. Before starting in Apply, he worked for 14 years in Subsea 7, and his latest role was Director for the Sales and Marketing Department. Prior to that, he had 10 years Project experience in Subsea 7, and filled the roles as Project Director, Project Manager or Business Manager in a number of major subsea projects. He also has a period of experience from a foreign posting in Australia for Subsea 7. From 1990 – 1998 he held various positions in Esso Norge, and prior to that, Knudsen worked for Kværner Engineering and Åke Larson Construction.
