Moreld Apply has been awarded an extension to its existing frame agreement with Equinor to deliver maintenance and modification services for oil and gas installations on the NCS.
The three years contract covers the scope of work as previously contracted in 2016, and will strongly focus on safe and cost effective, sustainable solutions for the fields operated by Equinor. The agreement comes into effect from March 1st, 2023.
“This continued cooperation strengthens our position as a trusted engineering partner in the energy transition, and we are delighted to further pursue our long relationship with Equinor.” says Karsten Gudmundset, CEO in Moreld Apply.
Nine Andresen, Vice President for Maintenance & Modification says: “The award is a recognition of our solid brownfield engineering expertise and our will to improve by using new technology and digital tools. Dedicated to delivering smart and sustainable technical solutions, we will continue our work for Equinor with a strong focus on our common goal to reduce carbon emissions.”
“We believe that we, together with our partners in the Moreld group, can provide smart concepts, and further reduce CO2 emissions from the industry through early engagement, and close collaboration. The focus on sustainability motivates us in the development of smart and standardized solutions like 3D printing, digitization, repair and reverse engineering. The extension of this contract will give us the opportunity to further strengthen these ambitions for safe and cost-efficient deliveries.” she says.
The agreement secures the employment of more than 400 people, and the scope of work will be delivered by on- and offshore teams based in Stavanger and Bergen.
