Moreld Apply has been awarded a contract by AkerBP for the EdvardGrieg Topside Modification EPCI which forms part of the Utsira High Tie-Backs project.
The purpose of the contract is to execute the required topside modifications for the following tie-back fields to Edvard Grieg:
Moreld Apply estimates the contract to be significant, which at peak will employ over 100 people. The EPCI contract (Engineering, Procurement, Construction, and Installation) was an option when Moreld Apply was awarded the FEED contract (Front End Engineering and Design) to plan the modifications in detail in 2022.
Nine Andresen, Vice President for Maintenance & Modification says: “This contract award is an acknowledgement to the organization that has worked with the FEED. At the same time, it confirms AkerBP’s trust in our extensive experience from early phase studies throughout to execution, and our ambition to work closely with the client from early involvement."
“This award is strategically important for us and builds on to our solid relationship from previous Lundin, and now continues with AkerBP” says Karsten Gudmundset, CEO in Moreld Apply.
The engineering work will start immediately, while the first offshore activities are expected in autumn 2023. The project is estimated to be completed in 2025.
